Saturday Event Updates
Hi everyone,
Hope hacking has been going well! Here are some updates on events we have planned for today:
Pitching Workshop
Jan 11th, 7:30-8 PM (Ackerman 2408)
You’ve made a product you’re proud of, so now how do you make your product sound amazing? Join Leo Szeto, UCLA Alumni ’12 and past IDEA Hacks judge, for a 20-minute crash course in the essentials of pitching a product! Pitching your project in an effective manner is a big part of judging on Sunday, so be sure to come by! Case study, practice session, and Q&A after the crash course is also available.
Reactive Light Workshop
Jan 11th, 2-3 PM (Ackerman 2408)
Join WATT and Creative Labs in a Reactive Light workshop! We'll provide Arduinos, breadboards, sensors, and LEDs, and teach you how to use them to create fun displays of light. This is a great way to see how Arduinos can be used in creative and visual applications!
Relevant Tools:
- Arduino Software: https://www.arduino.cc/en/main/software
- Try to bring a laptop to the workshop if possible.
Typing Competition
Jan 11th, 3-4 PM (Ackerman 2408)
Looking to win a RGB Gaming Keyboard? Want to flex your typing speed to your friends? Join our Typing Competition by adding your name and email to the sheet below. An email invitation will be sent with a link to join the competition!
